Robot manufacturer Neura Robotics and automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler will collaborate on humanoid industrial robots. Schaeffler plans to deploy several thousand of the Swabian company's robots in its global production network by 2035, the two companies announced jointly in Metzingen and Herzogenaurach, Franconia. According to industry sources, the contract is worth approximately €300 million for Neura Robotics. The startup and the corporation also intend to cooperate on the development and supply of key components for humanoid robots.

Neura Robotics founder David Reger said in a statement: “With Schaeffler, one of Germany’s largest and most experienced industrial players is underscoring that you can’t wait for new technologies, but must actively drive them forward.” Schaeffler’s Chief Operating Officer, Andreas Schick, added that humanoid robotics is an important growth area for Schaeffler, and that Neura Robotics is among the most innovative companies in Europe. The company reaffirmed its goal of delivering five million cognitive and humanoid robots by 2030.
